Just finished some tools for a wood fired pizza/bread oven. Long handled fire tools , here we have a rake, shovel, and unique to wood ovens, a ‘scuffle’. Scuffles are used to mop the oven floor, after the coals have been raked and prior to the bread or pizza going in.
This one has an Italian made cotton head and a Tas oak handle, rubbed with linseed oil. As they will spend a lot of time outside in the elements as well as in the heat, I’ve finished the metalwork in ‘pot belly black’ paint.
